Alex Glover

Bio:

Alex Glover is the Director of Choirs at Edgewater High School where he directs seven vocal ensembles and teaches Advanced Placement Music Theory. Choirs under his direction have consistently received Superior Ratings at District and State Music Performance Assessment as well as toured throughout the United States. Most recently, the Edgewater Chamber Choir was invited to perform at the 2021 Florida Conference of the American Choral Directors Association. Alex is also the Director of Traditional Music at the First United Methodist Church of Winter Park where he conducts the Chancel Choir and Impact Singers Youth Choir.

Alex is an active adjudicator and guest lecturer throughout Florida, Louisianna, Missouri, and New Jersey and has presented sessions at conferences of the Florida Music Educators Association and the Missouri Choral Directors Association. He is an active member of ACDA, FMEA, NAFME, and FVA. He proudly performs as a member of the Orlando Sings Symphonic Choir and Solaria Singers. Alex holds a master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Missouri and a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College of Rider University.
