YOUTH CHORAL ARTISTS MISSION
The Orlando Sings Youth Choral Artists mission is to cultivate the next generation of singers through artistic excellence, meaningful community, and transformative musical experiences. We inspire young musicians to grow as vocal artists, confident leaders, and lifelong lovers of music.
Youth Choral Artists is an excellent fit for:
- Singers who love choir and want additional opportunities to perform and grow.
- Students wishing to strengthen musicianship, vocal technique, and ensemble skills.
- Students enrolled in public school, private school, homeschool, or Florida Virtual School.
- Singers taking private voice or piano lessons.
- Young musicians considering future studies or careers in music, music education, musical theatre, composition, music production, music business, music therapy, or other arts-related fields.
- Students pursuing STEM, humanities, or other disciplines who recognize the lifelong value of artistic excellence, creativity, and collaboration.
- Young people seeking confidence, meaningful friendships, and a welcoming community where they can thrive through music.
OUR CHOIRS & PROGRAMS
These advanced ensembles are for treble singers and changed voices in grade 6 through 12 that have a motivation and passion for vocal music of all kinds – musical theatre, classical, jazz, pop, etc. These ensembles will work on elevating the choral art form through multi-genre music programs, challenging repertoire, and artistry. Singers can expect multi-part music that will challenge and build their vocal technique, musicianship, and artistic excellence.
In addition to regular season concerts, these musicians will prepare for various special experiences, such as the Florida All-State choir, and state, regional, and national ACDA honor choirs. These singers will perform several times a year, including a genre-bending Spring Showcase and the Orlando Sings Choral Festival.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
This program is offered to musicians in 10th-12th grades who wish to mentor younger students in Aurora and Lux. Mentors are singers with musical expertise, leadership qualities, and a love for connecting with people through music. This program is perfect for individuals considering majoring or minoring in music education, vocal performance, music therapy, musical theatre, etc. as well as for those looking for leadership opportunities. Mentoring younger musicians gives the opportunity to invest in your own musical journey and others, highlighting the Orlando Sings values of Education, Community, Joy, Professionalism, and Collaboration through the younger generation.
ALL-STATE CAMP: VOCAL QUALITY AUDITION PREPARATION
For students who have already passed All-State Test #1, we are offering a four-week intensive to help students learn their Vocal Quality Audition music. Schedule for 2026:

LEADERSHIP
BRIANNA MARTIN, DIRECTOR & CONDUCTOR
Brianna Martin is a choral professional in the Orlando area with a passion for music education and singing. She is the chorus director at Timber Springs Middle School, where she enjoys working with her choirs, music directing the theatre program, and collaborating with other arts departments. Under her direction, Solare, the advanced treble choir at TSMS, was selected to perform at the 2025 FLACDA Fall Conference and was named a 2026 Bach Choir of Distinction.
As a lifelong choral music lover, she grew up participating in Lumina Youth Choirs, formerly known as Gulf Coast Youth Choirs, and since her 2021 graduation from Florida State University has enjoyed singing with various groups around Florida, including the Orlando Sings Symphonic Chorus and Harmonia. In her free time, she loves attending live music events of all kinds, enjoying nature, cooking for her friends, and cuddling her pup.
Brianna is extremely excited to embark on this new journey with Orlando Sings and hopes to inspire young singers through music.
ALEX POLLARD, CONDUCTOR
Alex Pollard, an Orlando native, serves as the Director of Choral Activities at Boone High School. Under his baton, the Boone High School choral ensembles have achieved sustained artistic excellence—earning consistent Superior ratings at district and state Music Performance Assessments (MPA) and receiving featured performance invitations from the Florida American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Notably, Boone’s pop a cappella ensemble, Vocality, has earned regional and national acclaim from Varsity Vocals as one of Florida’s premier high school contemporary a cappella groups. His choirs have graced prominent stages across Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, SeaWorld, and New York City.
In addition to his scholastic leadership, Alex serves as a Music Director at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, contributing his expertise to their summer youth musical theater productions. Most notably, he served as Music Director for the inaugural Florida Musical Theatre Summer Intensive (FMTI), guiding top-tier student performers through rigorous vocal preparation and high-caliber musical production.
Beyond the podium, Alex is an influential voice in choral pedagogy as the creator and host of the Choirwire Podcast, delivering high-level insights on the art of teaching choir to music educators nationwide.
An accomplished vocalist, Alex serves as Section Leader for the Orlando Sings Symphonic Choir, having performed with the organization since its inaugural season. His professional singing career encompasses elite vocal ensembles across Central Florida, most notably the Solaria Singers and the premier a cappella group Voices of Liberty at EPCOT.
A sought-after clinician and adjudicator, Alex maintains active professional memberships with the ACDA, the Florida Vocal Association, and the Florida Music Educators Association. He holds both a Bachelor of Choral Music Education and a Master of Music Education from The Florida State University, where he studied under the mentorship of Dr. Judy Bowers, Dr. Kevin Fenton, and Dr. André Thomas.
