Eric Petersen

Bio:

Eric Petersen, baritone, obtained his Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Lawrence University and Master of Music in Voice Performance from Northwestern University. He made his mainstage European debut in 2007 as Mengotto in Piccini’s La buona figliuola. He continued to sing throughout the United States, singing such roles as Escamillo in Carmen with MetroWest Opera. In 2016, Eric relocated to Berlin where he maintained a busy performance schedule. He has sung mainstage roles throughout Germany in productions of Don Giovanni, Hänsel und Gretel, I Pagliacci, Le nozze di Figaro, Les Dialogues des Carmélites, Wiener Blut, Die verkaufte Braut, Così fan Tutte, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, and La bohème, as well as making appearances with both Berlin’s and Hamburg’s chapters of Opera on Tap. Since moving back to the States (in 2020), he has decided to pursue a Doctor of Audiology degree, and he is currently in his first year at USF. This is his second season with the Solaria Singers.
